We called him Papa, he called me his #1 daughter. For the short time I was with Joseph Vincent Cancilla, the time spent, was a gift to any daughter. Today I have a good husband, kind and generous, Joseph V. Cancilla was that blueprint for me. God bless you Dad. See you there.

Joe was a good man. I grew up on Claremont Street and my mother and I would always shop at the grocery store. He was always kind and generous. He will be sadly missed.

Joe is going to be missed, his store was my first grocery store that I was allowed to go to and cross the street by my self. He always made me feel, like I was still that little girl. Joe is truly an icon of Taylor & Claremont.

Joe was a very nice and generous man. Three generations of my family and I shopped in his grocery store and ate in his sandwich shops. He was a great asset to the Taylor Street community...he will be sorrowfully missed.
Please accept my sincere sympathy for the loss of your father and grandfather.

We will miss Joe very much! He would come into our store (J&S Produce) and buy vegetables and things he needed for his store. He was always a joy to be around and was a pure gentleman! Our sincerest sympathies go out to his family and friends. May you go on with wonderful memories of Joe in your hearts and minds. Truly a wonderful man!
