Joe was a true friend to me. He always called me to have lunch with him downtown, and our usual spot was the Italian Village. One time there was a brithday party in the next room, and he got up and sang "Happy Birthday" and he brought the house down!
I miss him already, but I know he is reunited with his parents and his brothers and sisters.

Steve, one of the buidling public safety officers here at 105 W. Adams (former home of Pit and Quarry) wanted to pass along condolences to Joe's family. He remembers enjoying countless
conversations with Joe and Nick and how wonderful they both were. Glad they are together again.

My sympathy to Joe's family. My Mom, Gerry Reimbold worked with Joe and Nick many years ago at "Pit and Quarry". She always talked about what gentlemen they were. i had the opportunity to meet them both at birthday party for Nick. My mother was
right, they were both wonderful guys. Joe sang Ave Maria at my mother's funeral 13 years ago. What a beautiful voice! My mother would have loved it! I thank God that I had the opportunity to meet such a great guy. He will be sorely missed.

Bibbiano & Scaletta Families,
My condolences to all. I have wonderful memories of Joe throughout the years. He was a kind, caring and loyal friend. He was a gentleman in every sense of the word. I will truly miss Joe and his friendship.

Uncle Joe will add to the choir of Angels and Saints in Heaven. I hope they know "WAY MARIE".
His memory will remain in our hearts, as his voice will sing forever.

My sympathy goes out to Joe's entire family. Joe was such a visible and vocal part of St. Ben's parish, and his beautiful renditions of Ave Maria (on Mother's Day) and Danny Boy, etc. (at Alderman Schulter's dinners) will be missed. Most likely he is already a part of the heavenly choir.

Joe was a great friend and neighbor to so many of us on Seeley Avenue and throughout Northcenter for many, many years. He was like another grandfather to the children on our block and always remembered all of the birthdays with gifts and with his special gift of song. He never forgot to ask about a relative and always offered a prayer when he knew that someone else was ill. Joe may have been small in physical stature, but his voice and his spirit were strong and vibrant. Everytime I hear "Happy Birthday" and "Irish Eyes" being sung, I'll always think of Joe. He'll be greatly missed, but we're all so fortunate to have known him and to have been cheered by his friendship.
