Johnnie Beasley Obituary

Johnnie Carl Beasley, Sr., 89 of Savannah, died Sunday, March 30, 2003 at Hospice Savannah, Inc. He was born in Bulloch County and was retired from Local #26, Boilermakers Union, having served as Assistant Business Agent. He was a member of Landrum Lodge #48, F. & A.M. s, Calvary Baptist Temple, and the Chapel Sunday School Class. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Thelma Cowart Brunson Beasley of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, Johnnie Carl Beasley, Jr., and Karen Beasley of Savannah; three daughters and sons-in-law, Ann Beasley Hodges and Lloyd Hodges, Paula Brunson Mobley and Michael Mobley, all of Savannah and Glenda Brunson Young and Robert Young of Atlanta; a brother and sister-in-law, Thomas Earl Beasley and Margaret Beasley of Savannah; two sisters and brother-in-law, Bernice Burdett and George Burdette of Savannah and Blanche Smith of Richmond Hill; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services: 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at Calvary Baptist Temple with Rev. John S. Connell and Rev. Troy Key officiating. Burial: Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Active Pallbearers: Jason Mobley, Robert Alan Young, II, Ed Fischer, Tommy Beasley, Jonathan Green, and Jason Barker. Honorary Pallbearers: Members of the Chapel Sunday School Class.
