It seems my mind chooses to always forget the date. Perhaps because it was so hard. Perhaps because I couldn´t be there to say goodbye.
Still each year my mind is filled with memories. You´re planting a yard full of annuals on Mother´s Day weekend, so mom would have flowers all summer long. You´re teaching us how to properly prune the bushes or prepare the bikes for summer. Teaching me how to `play with tools´ and the most efficient way to pack a suitcase and the car.
The fish fries from your annual fishing trips to Canada. Your amazing friendships, your willingness to learn new skills, our evenings dissecting the plot of Hawaii Five-O, or I-Spy.
Your pride at my HS Awards Dinner. You dropping me off at College. You´re walking me down the aisle.
The focus and observant way you walked through the house I designed after it was `under roof´. Hearing from others how you bragged about each of your children, especially since you were never one to brag about your own accomplishments.
I will always miss you. I still want to call you with exciting news. Intelligent, kind, caring and giving in every aspect of your life, most powerfully in your love of your entire family.
Love you,
Sue

It is 21 years since you rejoined the love of your life in the next life. Your words and life lessons are with me always. You have five Great-grandchildren now.
Your many lifelong friendships have always left a deep impact on my life. You are a man who showed up for the people you cared about, expecting nothing more than a thank you, and maybe a beer.
My sons were blessed to know you and I have passed along what you taught me, to them. Faith & love, in all you do!
Thanks!
Your loving daughter,
Sue

Catherine, you know how very sad I feel for you and your family. But I take great pleasure in having had the opportunity to meet and talk with your father last year at your house. He was a fine man and I'm so glad to have spent time getting to know him. You know I'm always here for you.

To the children of John & Nancy White:
This is one of those times when we wish we weren't so far away! We are now living in Lake Geneva and unfortunately, we had invited a Sister Kathleen of St. James to spend the weekend with us.
We wish we could be with you to give you each a hug and to recall stories of the fun times we all had on Gibbons Avenue in Arlington Heights. Your Mom and Dad were special friends when we were "growing up"in our first new homes. We all depended on one another, getting together for many barbeques and parties, babysitting each other's kids, making special memories, memories that would last a lifetime. In the last years, we have all gone off to fulfill our dreams in different places, but please know that today we share your special loss and pray that your Dad will find peace now in the arms of his beloved Nancy.
May you feel God's presence at this time and come to find the peace your Dad now enjoys.
Warm regards,
Terry and George Schott

He was the soul of gentleness. His simple smile would steal your heart, as it did mine, and that of my wife Arline, and so many others. His love of Nanci was so great that this time since her passing has been very hard for him. He was never the one to jump to an argument, which Nanci loved to do. Maybe he had too much of that in his job. But his acceptance, despite what he might have thought, was ready and given willingly and generously. Our hearts will ache without him. I am happy for you, my brother, reunited with your beloved. Hold a place for us. We still have work to do here. May we do just a bit of it with your spirit. We love you.

Our parents were great friends and loved each others company. There are too many stories to tell, just wonderful memories. It's a strange feeling to have both of your parents gone, they are together again and at peace. With the four of the in heaven now the party has just begun, look out heaven! Hang in there, your parents love is always with you. The Bartsch children
