John Westhoven Obituary

Westhoven, John T. Age 79, late of Romeoville, passed peacefully at home Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Born in Chicago, lifelong Chicago area resident. United States Army Veteran. Member of Saint Dennis Church, Lockport. Graduate of Notre Dame University, where he received a Bachelor Degree in Commerce in 1956. John continued to be an avid Notre Dame fan. Most of all he was a loving devoted family man. He always had a love for the simple things; faith, family and friends. Preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary F. Westhoven (2006); his parents, Casper and Ernestine (Hagerty); and a sister, Mary Katherine McMahon. Survived by his loving daughters, Marianne (Richard) Lessner, Margie (Martin) Beck and Kathleen (Scott) Likins; grandchildren, Erin, Jennifer, Kelly and Karl Beck, Richard and Connor Lessner, Daniel, Owen and Benjamin Likins; two sisters, Ann Foley and Jean (John) Madigan. John was a loving brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ, c/o Convent Ancillia Domini P.O. Box 1, Donaldson, IN 46513 or Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL 60431 would be appreciated. Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 9, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. from the O'NEIL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 1105 E. 9th St. (159th St) Lockport to St. Dennis Church for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment St. Mary Cemetery, Evergreen Park. Visitation Sunday, December 8, 2013 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
