I grew up with John in Thornton and went all through grade school and high school together. He was the epitome of a true friend! I will always remember his dad, Bill taking John and I to Raceway Park on Saturday nite to watch the stock car races. Bill was a scorer and John and I would go to the pits and wait for the fights to break out. John and I were great western movie watchers and our favorite was The Magnificent 7. We would have an ongoing argument over who the best gun fighter was. I claimed Steve McQueen and he claimed Robert Vaughn (who was really a chicken) but he knew it would always get me going and I'm sure (and hope) he thouroughly enjoyed it! John, old friend, we should gotten together more often but then life is forever busy isn't it? Keep the Lord entertained my friend, enjoy your family and friends with you there, and when it's my turn we'll pick up on that argument yet again.

I'm in shock. John and Kathleen were guests in my home several times....we had a lot of laughs. He was fun and full of life. My deepest sympathy to all family and friends.

John lived down the street from us and was well known in the neighborhood. He was my brother Bob's age. A couple years older than me.

Some people knew him as John, bot thanks to one fun filled night, to some others he will forever be remembered as "Nate."

A heck of a guy who will be missed by everyone he's touched. And a great sense of humor. My Mom will always talk about getting pulled over by the police and wondering what she had done. Then John came walking up to the car with a big smile, just to say hello.

Although he'll be missed by us, he can once again share time with his Dad, his brother Jeff (Woody, to many of his friends) and so many others, taken from us too early for our needs but needed by God for other things.

You did good, John, and you'll be missed.

I've known John for about 30 years. We had so many good times together, playing softball, golf, watching sports on television, drinking beer together. I have so many fond memories of John, just too many to list here. I can't believe he is gone. My heart goes out to his family and friends. You will be missed John. Rest in peace my dear friend. Till we meet again. Lee

A great loss of a great friend. John is finally the "cherub" he always claimed to be. You will be missed.

I have been friends with John for over ten years. We did date for a short time, but we were friends first and always. I work at a local bank and occasionally John would be one of the officers to "stand-by" at the ATM. I will miss our many talks while he was at the ATM with me.

I had John over at my house this past Christmas Eve for a drink and company, my first Christmas without my Mother.

John was very proud of Leslie and he has touched so many lives. He will be sorely missed. I will hold my memories close, as I know so many will. I am so sorry for your loss.
