Sloan, John Theodore 58, of Lake Forest, died July 10, 2010, husband of Barbara, father of John Robert "Jack" (Sarah) Sloan of Boston, MA, Thomas Christopher of Kenai, AK and Michael James of Lake Forest, IL, son of Joyce Ewers and the late John Hugh Sloan, brother of William P. (Maureen) Sloan and Mary Anne (Stephen) Eaton, uncle of Billy, Doug, Taylor, Jessica, Jon, Eric, Tony, Steve and Angela. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Patrick's Church, 950 W. Everett Rd., Lake Forest, IL 60045. Visitation from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 15, 2010 at St. Patrick's Church. Interment private. Info. I knew John as a young boy, teenager and well into college age. He swam with my boys at Lake Erskine, NJ every summer. We all have very happy memories of him. My love and prayers to all the family, especially Joyce, Billy and Maryann. Lucille Luongo

I just learned of John's death. I knew him from the LF health club where he was a regular swimmer. I chatted with him on many occasions and will miss his fabulous warmth and friendliness. Please accept my condolences.
