Judy & Family,

I know John's spirit will live among us always.

As they played Taps near the unfurled flag, a huge Monarch butterfly lingered, fluttering around.

I felt this to be his spirit. It will always be fluttering around those whose lives he has touched.

Judy, my dear friend, It has been such a sad & heart-breaking time for you the past year and more. Our sincere sympathies to you and the family. You and I have known each for at least a lifetime and I'm sure John was well aware he was very blessed to have you especially, and such a warm & wonderful family. Such a sad time to visit w/ you and your family at church but it was wonderful to see your beautiful/ handsome children again, & those gorgeous grandchildren. How wonderfully proud of his family John must have been. I and my family, you know, wish you all well. Very fondly, Nancy Ahlert (& George) family

Judy we will miss John at the Squires gatherings. He was always ready with a comment about every story told that made you laugh. His facial expressions alone could tell a story! As a team you were one in a million. We share the loss of your long time partner in life and like you, he has left us with a wealth of fond memories.

Dear Judy and Family,
Our deepest sympathy and sincere condlences to you on the passing of John. After your complete devotion to him for so many years, it has to be a difficult time for you and the children.

We are just so fortunate to have had the chance to spend some time with you and John over the years at the 'Chicago Squires Reunions'. However, it was particularly fortuitous that we chose to have last year's reunion at your Hayward retreat. We had such a fun time and have many fond memoires of John in his finest form. His quick querky, smile while rolling his eyes upward after a droll, "Yea, Right' to one of the Squires exaggurated comments is one of our enduring memories, and real reflection of his captivating and charming personality. May he rest in peace.
