Shannon, John P. "Jack" age 68, USMC Veteran. Member Plasterers Union, Local #5 and Chicago Plasterers Institute; beloved husband of June (nee Brandimore); loving father of John P. (Maria) and Jerry (Teri); proud grandfather of Lauren, Ryan, Joey, Matt, Michael, Patrick, Kathleen, Colleen, Brendan and Megan; dear brother of Patricia (John) Deasey, Eileen (Steve) Lichner and Joseph (Eileen); fond brother-in-law of Mary Kay Brandimore and Judy (Chuck) Cooper; uncle and friend of many. Visitation Monday, 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral 10:30 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road, (1/2 mile north of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Jack's name to the American Cancer Society, Relay for Life of Elmhurst and Villa Park, 1801 South Meyers Road, Suite 100, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, 60181.
