John Reed Obituary
John Howard Reed, born in Moline, IL on June 3, 1970, passed away in Chicago, IL on December 1, 2025. John left us surrounded by the love and support of his family and friends: loving husband of Kelly Reed; father of Isabella and Logan Reed; son of Mimi Witchy and the late James Reed; brother of Elliot (& Kendra), Oliver, and Nathan (& Rigby) Reed.
John will be remembered for his vibrant spirit, warmhearted nature, and personal passions. He found joy in cooking-both at work, and for his family and friends-bringing others together and creating a sense of community. John also loved music and attending live shows. Above all else, he cherished his family and friends and was a positive influence whose endearing kindness and friendship enriched the lives of so many.
Celebration of Life: Saturday, January 17th from 12 – 4pm at Reggie's (2105 S. State, Chicago).
