Dear Nancy and John:
I am so sorry to learn of your Dad's death. I have wonderful memories of your Dad. Searching for that elusive famous steak restaurant in Boston (remember Nance?), time spent in Winnetka and in Wisconsin. He was always great fun- smart, funny and a perfect Dad.
I know how much you will miss him.
Love, Cindy

John / Nancy -
A toast, if you will permit me, to Jack Mengel ... a man's man, a loving father, a great friend and adviser (especially to his own children which is no small feat), an entrepreneur and a risk-taker, yet a guy who celebrated life's simple pleasures most. I am so glad I knew him and, though I didn't see him often, I am deeply saddened to know that I might not just run in to him next time I visit Chicago.
My thoughts are with you both-

Nancy and John,
Since I am so computer illiterate, I am not sure the first entry made it to the guest book, so my apologies if this is redundant. I was reading the Chicago Tribune today and as I ALWAYS read the obits, I was saddened to read of your dad's death. What a great guy he was. I have many wonderful, funny and cherished memories of him. He was a class act, number 1 guy. His sense of humor, wit and wisdom will always remain in my heart. My deepest sympathy to you and your families.
