To the McGuane Family - I am devastated to hear of John's passing. I worked with John @ Loyola in the Steam Plant since 2002. John was the most loving, kind, caring, sincere, gentle, family oriented man. He was a friend and became a father figure when my dad passed away. His kindness knew no end. I will always remember the great meals he used to cook for us at the holidays. I loved to hear him talk about all his grandchildren. His face would light up with love and pride. I will miss John more than I can say. My deepest sympathy, love and prayers are with your entire family at this time. We have lost a great man.

My thoughts and prayers are with the McGuane family. I recall meeting John many times at the Holiday Ballroom. It was the gathering place for all the Irish every Saturday night during the sixties. John “wore” a perpetual smile and we were blessed to have him as a friend. We all settled down and most of us had families of our own and it was difficult to keep in touch in our busy world; however, we did not forget all the wonderful friends we made along the way, including John.
