John A. "Red" Machay, age 81. Beloved husband of Shirley (nee Swanson). Devoted father of John (Janice), Richard (Julie), Michelle Machay, the late Kenneth and stepfather of Susan Young and Roberta (Larry) Zyla. Loving grandfather of 5 and great grandfather of 2. Dear brother of Eugene (Rose) Machay and the late Charles (the late Marge) Machay. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Over 35 years of service with the City of Chicago- Dept. of Forestry. Member of Retreads and Stragglers Motorcycle Clubs. Visitation Wednesday Feb. 24th, 3-9 PM at the Palos-Gaidas Funeral Home, 11028 Southwest Hwy. (7700W) Palos Hills. Funeral Thursday, Feb. 25th, 1030 AM service at the funeral home. Dear Brother in law met you 53 years ago what a ride it's been. You use to sit at my house and wait for pizza delivery s. We had some crazy times together.vacation in vegas,the time I back up on the freeway you talked about that for twenty years.we will miss you! Wait for us we'll be there someday to do it all over again.
