When I was 19 (41 years ago)I had my car in Sears' service department at 6 corners. I met John at the Allstate booth and I have been with John (until he retired) and Allstate ever since. Every time I would call he would be always willing to help . I was sad when he retired and now more so that he has passed. He was a good man. My deepest sympathy to his family.

So sorry to read about your John.
He was at the Alexian Brothers Geriatric Ward with my husband, John Gannon and I had talked to you a couple of times.
I noticed that he had left there, and I wondered how he was.
My John is now at Norridge Gardens facility.
I am so sorry for your loss.
Virginia Gannon.

My deepest sympathy to Ann & family on the loss of John. I remember when John would call Ronnie when he had a horse running.John loved the horses & the racetrack. I believe Ann enjoyed it too. Such good memories to have.

Very sad to hear about John. We played baseball and hockey, and went to Austin at the same time. Going out of town, or I would be at Gluekert tomorrow. I live in Arlington Hts. A nice person leaving us. My condolences to I'm sure, a very nice family.

I was 18 in 1971. Got my first car. My friend said get your Insurance. Go see my agent John, He's at sears at 6 corners. So that's where I met john and still have that policy from way back then, along with my house and rental property. I still recall seeing John and waving to him when passing john while in Sears. He always remembered my name, my wife & kids names for years and years. We'd talk about families over the years during the 5 to 10 min while paying my policies. Even after I moved to the suburbs & John merged into new company locations I spoke to him on the phone years ago, I can still recognize his voice on the phone or a crowd.
I still think of John while I go back to the old neighborhood and drive past sears on Irving Park. But it's only John who I recall in my memory of all those years ago. Why is that? He was part of my life even if only in a little way which is why I'm crying now. Goodbye John, I'm glad to have known you.
