John and Norka, we want to tell you how very sorry we are for the loss of your son. Sue told me what had happened and I just wanted you to know our hearts go out to you. He accomplished so much in his lifetime. You raised a wonderful young man. The world has lost an incredible person. Please take care.

We were all saddened to learn of John's passing.
He contributed so much to the Carbondale Senior Center over many years. We always appreciated and enjoyed having him and his friends visit the Center and help out. Clients would ask "when is John coming back?" We all share the sorrow of John's loved ones. May his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.
The Yiddish word Mensch is an honorific term that would rarely come to mind when thinking about most 26 year old men. However John is just such a man and a true Mensch.
Attached is a photo from 8/19/2015 with John, Ben and Mr. Bradsfield at the Carbondale Senior Center.

I worked with John on his Eagle Project. He did a magnificent job at designing and painting a mural. He was funny and very unique.
You will be missed. Linda Falat BSA Troop 7066

John had the unique ability to make anyone feel like family. His love knew no bounds and held no prejudice. He listened intently to each word you spoke, no matter who you were. I have always admired John for that. He is and will be missed dearly. I will forever be grateful for being his friend. All my love and the deepest of condolences to his friends and family.

I remember first meeting John at Turley Park before he was one year old, and then watching him grow alongside our children through neighborhood trick-or-treating, science fairs, and holiday sings. He truly did live his all-too-brief life well. I offer John and Norka deepest condolences and gratitude for having shared your bright light of a son with all of us.

John was in my junior and senior English classes. He was so bright and funny - he had such a dry and pun-filled humor, and he regularly made me laugh. John was genuinely kind, compassionate, and inquisitive. It seems genuinely unfair that such a bright light has gone out of the world. Sending love and peace to his family.

John and Norka, I don't know if you remember me but I was your neighbor on Meadow Lane, two doors west of you. My daughter sent me John's obituary. I am so very sorry to read this. Apparently, he was a wonderful person and impacted a lot of people. I was glad to see you were still in Carbondale. My heart goes out to you and I hope you can find peace and comfort.
