Sorry to hear about the loss of Father Lemrise. Although I did not know Father, I am familiar with the family. My great-grandmother, Josephine Dashneau Mahoney, was one of the early French-speaking parishoners at St. John the Baptist Church which was located at 50th Place and Peoria in Chicago. My parents always had good words to say about the Lemrise family.

It is sad to see that our Claretians are leaving this earth.
I remember his holy way of saying Mass, our talks after Mass, and especially when he lend me the book of Father Antonio Maria Claret. After I read it and returned it he told me it was mine to keep. I have it now and autographed. A rememberance that will be in my family as long as I live. I know you suffered and all for the love of God. Frances Garcia Frederickson
