Ann, Jay & Shelley,
We will never forget John's smile and zest for life. We are blessed to have known him and will miss our times together.
Although a small condolence for your tremendous personal loss, the celebration of his life Saturday should stand as a lasting testament that he was dearly loved and respected.
Our hearts are broken for you and we hold you all in our prayers for healing and comfort.

To the entire Keller family: I just heard the news today and I was so sad to find out about John. I always enjoyed seeing him and visiting as we got to know each other over the years through Shelley and Max going through school together. The entire Garner family is thinking of you and we extend our deepest sympathy.

I have known and worked with John for over 20 years. We shared many family triumphs through the years and he taught me a lot about our business, but I had so much more to learn from him. So many days when I would get stumped or needed to talk through a problem and would reach for the phone to call John. "I'm out of my office right now, ..." - meaning he wasn't in his Suburban.
My deepest sympathies for your loss and I know it leaves a huge hole in your lives, because it has in mine. My prayers are with you always/

My prayers are with John's family through these trying times. I was very fortunate to meet John some 17 or so years ago. Just like Jason stated, at the time I was just a dumb kid. John along with a few other old timers introduced me to Jason and they did take a few chances on us dumb kids but they had faith in us. I thank him for being a great customer, a great giver of advice and mostly, a great friend. He will be greatly missed by many. I always like to end with something witty as John would do so I hope most of you understand what I mean when I say I will also miss his fancy shoes that he always wore into my office on his visits.

I’ve had a professional relationship with John for over 10 years. During those years it made me happy when I would run into John at different facilities. I knew a great story and conversation was about to happen. We had a little joke between us that we seemed to follow each other around all the time. No matter how obscure the location, there was John helping someone solve a problem. I would like his family to know that John was greatly admired and respected and that he will be missed. May God bless you and comfort you.

John Robert was one of the most influential people in my life. John hired me when I was 22 just after I married my wife, and his niece, Jamie. John taught me how to be a salesman, businessman and to always put integrity and honesty before the sale. In the first few years of my marriage I spent many days fishing with John, his Dad, and his brother Jim, my father in law.
John Robert gave me the opportunity to become successful. He imparted his knowledge and made sure I knew the rules. My success and my family's success today are largely due to what he gave me.
Over the last few years, John and I only saw each other a half dozen times during the year at family gatherings. We were both busy and doing what needed to be done. John took a lot of pride in helping me get started and he always told me how proud of me he was. I was way prouder of him taking a chance on a dumb kid 20 years ago.
Thank you John for being one of my best friends and mentors in life. I will do my best to pass it on.
I will miss our talks.
-Jason

To the Keller family: Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this most difficult time. Teddy and I played golf with John at Stephen F. Austin on numerous occasions over the years and also ran into him a time or two at the casinos. John lived life to the fullest and always seemed to have a smile on his face and a twinkle in his eye! I hope it brings you some comfort and peace of mind in knowing that John was surrounded by friends (including Teddy and me) and doing one of the things he loved most when he was called from this Earth. John will be missed by all but know that his memory will always live on. May he rest in peace...

Ann & Shelly,
I admired John very much especially from a coach and parent of an athlete perspective. He was so involved with Shelly but he wasn't an intrusive parent or one of those screamers from the stands. It was a pleasure for The Lapins to have known him. We are very sorry for your loss. We are also very happy you had such a great husband & father.

John has been a good friend to me and a great help to my company for many years. He always made it easy to be his friend and I always enjoyed seeing him around our facility and listening to his stories. It was only a couple of weeks ago that John was proudly telling me about his son going to work in our industry. I will miss him. I am glad I knew him. I offer my deepest sympathies to his family.

Butch and I knew John from the golf course. Although I did find out through conversation with John that he and I went to the same High School. He was a gentleman and such a fun loving person. Butch was playing golf with John the day he passed away. He will be missed and remembered fondly.

I met John thru the friendship of our sons. I'm proud to say I considered him a great friend and buddy. We saw many a Friday night football game, fished, and golfed. He was a very good amateur coach and sports analyst. I am very numb and saddened by his passing and just want his family to know he was always talking about them, how much he loved them, and how proud he was of them. Rest in peace dear John, I will miss you

To my dearest sister and friend, and the children I love so much, my heart bleeds for you because you will miss him in ways you cannot even begin to imagine today, but you will always have him in your hearts and memories. He was a good man and he loved his family. He knew that you would be well provided for if anything ever happened to him, Ann, he got to see you graduate from college and off to a good start in the business world, Jay, and he saw you graduate from high school, Shelley, and knew that you would continue to pole vault and receive a good education at Baylor. He was content with his lot in life and died happy. I will miss him, too. Rest in peace, John, and watch over them.
Love, Auntie Paula
