I am so very sorry that I never did get together with John for coffee shortly before he left us. I will remember you forever John and regret that we did not see one another one more time. You were very special in my life and I will carry you in my thoughts until my own end. There once was an opportunity when we were both "available" and you did attempt to get "better" and "re aquainted" invariably showing up wherever I was working. John would sometimes call me "Mo Re" which supposedly means "You" in Greek and it was more endearing and provocative than any name I had ever been called. Even your Mother tried hard to put us together when I worked for your family even though I was "unhappily" married" with children. I deeply regret not taking you up on your many offers to get together after my husband expired. As Sinatra sang "regrets I have a few, but then again "too few to mention". Rest in peace my love and perhaps we will meet in another life. Me

I am very saddened by the news of Johnny's passing. I knew him for about 40 years! I am proud to have sold him great shoes at both Cozy Bootery in Oaklawn and Golden Shoes in Palos Heights. He was a real nice guy! May he rest in peace. My condolences to his entire Family.
