Dear Elaine,
I worked with John at BB/L for 5 years in the early 70's. He was one of my favorite people in the world. I am so sorry to hear of his passing and my heartfelt sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I also worked with John at BB&L in the early '80's and am shocked to hear this sad news. Of course we’re all in shock. How can it be that someone so full of life and laughter suddenly leave us? The city at night seems dimmer now that John's light has gone out. Rest in peace, John, there are so many who will forever miss you.

Dear Elaine, Pat and Family,
I was deeply saddened and shocked to hear about John's passing. I will always remember how much fun he was, and I'm sure you will too. John was unique, special and full of life. And he certainly made an impact on everyone he knew. I will miss him. My heart goes out to you.

Elaine, Pat,
Please accept my condolences on your great loss. John was a dear man and always friendly to everyone he knew. The advertising community in Chicago will be much poorer due to his loss. They say a man is known by his friends, and John's were legion. He will be missed by all who knew him. Ed Hammerman

I am so sorry to hear this sad news. John was always smiling and had such a great sense of humor. A person who is so full of life will always live on in our memories. My dad also enjoyed working with and joking with John. My deepest condolences to Elaine and the entire family.

What a shock! Deepest symphony to your family from a former BB&L cohort who admired you, your advertising expertise and your ability to enjoy life.

I'll remember John from our time working together in the seventies with great affection. He was a gracious guy to a new grad who was pretty wet behind the ears. My condolences to his family.

It's impossible to express my shock and sadness at the news. John's passion for life was contagious. I know. I caught it.
