Jans, John A. beloved husband of Laurie Jans (nee Mulligan), loving father of Joshua Jans, Jonathan Jans, U.S.M.C. and Alicia Jans, dear son of Ruth and the late Harry Stephens, fond brother of Terry (Diane) Stephens, Michael (Traci) Stephens, Terese (Lloyd) Betts, Shawn (Ed) Tarrence and Janet (Joe) Lalor, numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Monday, 10 a.m., at Parkview Christian Church, 183rd & Wolf Rd., Orland Park, IL. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkview Christian Church Children Ministry would be appreciated. Visitation at the Hickey Memorial Chapel, 4201 W. 147th St., Midlothian, Sunday, 2 to 8 p.m. 708-385-4478.

I am so sorry to hear about John, I first met him on 2-South at LCM 16 years ago, and then later worked with John in ER, he was a great Nurse and someone to be proud of, he will be dearly missed.

My sincerest condolances to all of you on the loss of John. I worked with John on 2 South at LCM. He was a very good nurse and someone we could always depend upon. Dear Laurie and Kids,
We have been praying hard for all of you since we heard of John illness.We have asked God to put his arms around all of you and John to give strength and comfort, we continue to pray for the soul of John and your continued strength. I shall never forget the kindness you and John showed during my Mom and Dads bad times.
The relationship between the Geraci family and yours goes back over fifty years.
