John G. Ilas, age 89, born in Slovakia, proud American who served in the Army during the Korean War. Beloved husband for 61 years to Stella (nee Lustofin). Brother-in-law of Christine (Gerald) Forgue, Mary (the late Donald) Gomolka and the late Aloysius Lustofin. Dear cousin to Millie Novak and Lynn Schumacher. Also many nieces, nephews and relatives in Slovakia. Visitation Thursday 3pm to 8pm at RICHARD J. MODELL FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, 12641 W. 143rd St., Homer Glen. Parastas service at 7:00pm. Visitation continues Friday 8:30am until time of Funeral Service 9am at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church, 8103 S. Columbia Avenue; Munster, IN 46321.
