John Iannantuoni Obituary

Iannantuoni, John

John E. Iannantuoni, passed away peacefully on September 10th , 2025 at 84 years of age. He was known as a culinary enthusiast and technology buff who always prioritized his family. John grew up in Cicero, IL, where he was surrounded by a close community of immediate and extended generations of family. He went to Morton High School and to the University of Chicago for undergraduate and graduate school. John met and married his wife Lynette M. (nee Thomas), while he was in graduate school. John was a pioneering student in technology and employee at the University of Chicago Computation Center, helping to launch their first computer system in the 1960s. He continued to dedicate his intellect, fairness, and negotiation skills to his passion and career for 37 years until his retirement. John and Lynette raised four children in the Beverly neighborhood, where they developed close friendships within their community. John was known as "Chef I" to some of his friends, including those in his golf club. As stories go, the golf club looked forward to his turn to cook their weekly meal and showed up in large numbers on those nights. John brought an ease of conversation to a gathering and told engaging stories to those around him. He is survived by his wife, Lynette, his four children, Nicole M. Springer- Iannantuoni (John Springer), Danielle E. Iannantuoni, John T. (Rachel) Iannantuoni, and Kiera A. Iannantuoni (Evan Coleman), his eight grandchildren, Jacob, Josh, and Sophia Springer-Iannantuoni, Lincoln Davidson, Rocco and Jaxson Iannantuoni, and Enzo and Levi Coleman, and his sister, Carol (Michael Jr.) Giacobbe. John was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Iannantuoni, and his sister Jean (Peter) Contos. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday October 11, 2025, from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm at Barraco's, 3701 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park. Arrangements entrusted to Donnellan Funeral Home, 10525 S.
