Maj. General Henebry was a paperboy for Helen Taylor at the Taylor Newsstand in Plainfield, IL, as a young boy. Whenever he came back to the Plainfield Homecoming held each fall, he always stopped in her newsstand (she was in business from 1929 to 1995) to say hello and reminisce about his paperboy days. She was always so pleased that some so accomplished would come and see her. Early last year we wrote him to buy a copy of his book "The Grim Reaper at work in the Pacific Theater". He send us two autographed copies, one for each of our children. How thoughtful of him. Our sincere sympathy to all of his family. Ann and Jerry Taylor, family of Helen Taylor

Patsy, Pat and the rest of Jock's family...Rarely whilst someone is young an older gentleman comes into his life and changes it forever. Such was the case with your father. I enjoyed many hunts with him at Max McGraws, shared membership with him at the Chicago Athletic Association and the last time I saw him, he signed my personal copy of AFRICA BY AIR.We often discussed my father who was in the very first platoon of paratroopers formed in the United States Army. Your Dad changed my life and he will be missed but never forgotten.

Jock was a founding member of the Air Force Association. He inspired us all to always focus on the mission -- making sure our nation had a strong Air Force. He was a mentor and a colleague but most of all, he was a great friend. We will miss him.

I always smile when I think of Uncle John, our favorite Uncle. His sense of humor was especially endearing. He and my dad, his brother Joe, had that in common. We love him and we will miss him. I know my dad was there waiting at the gates of heaven when John arrived.
