Growing up at Epiphany parish truly is a treasured memory. Many of those memories include Msgr. Hayes. He was a true spiritual man who never was angry, always willing to help, and taught us all how to be a good person. We all have our own special memory and we all have a special place in our hearts for him. We know he is where he belongs and we are thankful that we knew him. Sincerely, The Serdiuk Family

Dearest Msgr.,I can vividly remember our very first job at the Rectory...I knew that we were told (Dora, my sister and I )"All you have to do is answer the door and phones". Funny how it seems like yesterday !!! I also remember you telling us "oh, if you have homework don't worry about the phones and door, let me get it". How confusing then, but now I understand your purpose !!!! As my parents did, you encouraged who and what I am today....Now my dear Lord has you in His presence, how with sincere envy that He has chosen you before I...how with the love you gave all of us warms our hearts...you, of all that I may know is deserving of His Love. Thank you Father, for reminding me, those you loved of how much Jesus gives to us.Thank You Lord for letting us know One of Your Angels...I will always keep you in my heart Msgr...Love and remember always, Diana (the one with the glasses )

We have lost a great priest and a wonderful man. Msgr. Hayes was a model and mentor for me as I came to Epiphany Parish as a newly ordained priest in 1977. I will always be grateful to him.

Msgr was so dear to our family. My sister Diana and I got our first job at Epiphany. Msgr. hired us to answer the doorbell and the phone. We were both so happy with the new job! I was only 15 years old at the time. My older sister Julie than worked at the rectory soon after. The Romo girls will always have a special place for Msgr. Hayes in our hearts. He was a man of faith and has left us with many fond memories of him. We will miss you Msgr. Hayes!
Love the Romo girls who now live in Houston, Texas.

To the family of Monsignor Hayes (and the Epiphany family), my sincerest condolences. It is very difficult to think about Epiphany without thinking of Msgr. Hayes, whether he was saying mass, dropping in on the school or strolling through the rectory garden reading his bible! He was a good man and I hope you find comfort in the fact that he is now truly by God's side. Thank you, Monsignor, for all you have done for the Epiphany family throughout your long and blessed life.
