Hi everyone!

So sad that I missed the special mass for John, due to my own Mom's health issues that started the night that John passed away after her long journey with ALZ! I still believe that John was the angel that set her free the night that he passed away.

I know he will be sadly missed, but oh so fondly remembered! He was always a spark of joy to be around, remembering those near and far with that kind heart!!! God is lucky to get him back in His arms, while we will miss him here on earth!

Bless the Hartnett Family with kind thoughts of love during this difficult time of losing John!

Love forever,

Maura

Johnny brought such joy to our family on his many visits to see my daughter Tiffany. She met him at New Trier and often brought him home. She loved him and we all grew to love him too. Johnny brought good cheer to everyone he met. We were so happy for him when he moved into his own place at Misericordia. We will always remember and be inspired by his lovely smiling face.

To Johnny's loving family. I don't know if you'll get this here, but if so, I just wanted you to know how terribly sad and sorry I am to hear about this great loss. In 1985 I had the good fortune of being Johnny's friend and the great pleasure of working with him when we were (with Mr. Goldstein) at New Trier. I loved spending time with him (as did my family). We spent many afternoons together and we were always laughing. I can't remember a time I didn't see that beautiful smile on his face or the sparkle in his eyes. My heart is heavy for you all but I know how much he loved you and especially his dear father. I can picture the joy he must be experiencing to see his wonderful parents again. My sincere and most heart felt condolences for your profound loss. He was SO special!!!! With love and admiration for you all,
Tiffany Richter Roquette (from Glencoe) xo

I have not met you, John, nor the rest of your family- save Andy. But I know your heart. And your family is like my family. The relationships, love and the loss of you here on earth, I know. In your great company are some of my favorite and most loved people, for sure you would have been one of mine too, had we met. My beautiful mother, courageous bigger than life father, my beauty queen sister, Suzette, and my hero brother Ricky, who spent his life from age 18 as a quadriplegic. My genius musician brother Bobby and his birth date born 9 years later twin, my beloved sister Karen. Love is beautiful, love is all there is, my heart is with you, John (namesake of my own brother John), and with all the Hartnett family. John, you broke boundaries of love, what greater gift to leave? prayers to all, love all.

I loved seeing John when I visited Misericordia, and we loved having him with the Heartzingers when they came to our convent to sing for us. May he be remembered with love and joy by his family and his Misericordia friends.

Dear Virginia & Family,
What a joy it was for me to know your brother John. He was an example to us all of a person who lived from his soul at all times. Creative, thoughtful, conscientious, loving, a dear and good man. I am saddened that he is gone but oh so happy that I was able to share time together on the family trip to Phelps w/ him. He has been called home. God bless John.
