Uncle John, The nickname Cookie will never be spoken again because you were the only person I allowed to call me that. I will miss it. Peace to you.

The mould that cast Mr. Gargas and his fellow Patton soldiers was long ago shattered. A generous man whose contributions were many.

It was an honor to have Mr. Gargas as a friend and neighbor. He was a very loving and caring man. When he would talk about his time in the service my husband and boys would gather around him and listen in awe. He was a man of many interests and nothing in life seemed to slow him down. We watched him with his many projects, getting all dolled up to go to a dance or getting in his good car to go to church. He was very proud of his children. He would give us up-dates on how his kids were doing or how many grandchildren he now had. May we all have a life as rich as his. We will miss him dearly.
