Gabrys, John B. age 90, died Saturday, December 1, 2007 at the Joliet Hospice Home. He is survived by two daughters; Suzanne Gabrys of LaGrange and Kathleen Kirby of Elwood, two sons; Dennis (Joyce) Gabrys of Michigan and Bert F. Gabrys of Lisle, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren, four sisters Katherine, Mary, Lottie and Ann, and one brother Stanley. Preceded in death by his parents Bert and Anna Kowalczyk Gabrys, wife of 55 years Anna Mae Daley Gabrys, two sisters Lucille and Regina and two brothers and Alex. John served his country during WWII with the US Army in the Pacific Theater for 4 1/2 years. He was employed by Commercial Plating in Chicago for 30 years. A resident of Hinsdale for 48 years and of Manhattan for the past 6 years. Funeral service for John B. Gabrys will be 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, from the Forsythe Funeral Home, Manhattan, to St. Joseph Church, 235 W. North Street, Manhattan, for Mass of Christian Burial, 10:00 A.M. Grandpa has blessed and touched anyones life who he came in contact with. I know he did mine!He was and is a wonderful man. As he will be missed, I am very happy for him that he and Grandma are back together again. I love all of you and wish I was there. Daddy I miss you and love you <------this much---------> BIG HUG to you!! SMILE everyone! Grandpa is looking down on all of us right now.
