Anthony and family. I was so saddened to hear about your loss. John was one of a kind, so outspoken. I remember when he coached old boys team with my father Raymond Zanger. My condolences and prayers to the family at this time. Having known John since we were in our teens, be it reffing baseball, football, or even one year we coached baseball during the day. John was always the person that you would call when you needed a hand, or someone to talk to. We have been thru a lot, we talked now and then but he made a special push for to reconnect and get together about a year ago. I am so glad that we did, now.

John only knew of one way (all in) and one speed Full speed ahead. He will truley be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about Johns passing. My husband (Gene) & I enjoyed camping at Paradise Park for many years and John was there for me when Gene passed away. I will never forget how much he helped me.

John was a bundle of energy and a good guy. I haven't seen him in 30 years but I will always remember him delivering papers, umpiring little league and pony league, wrestling, coaching and being a referee. John was always helping out somewhere. Sad to hear that he has left us but I'm sure he will be welcomed by our heavenly father. My condolences to all of his friends and family.

Sorry to hear about John. John gave me my very first job stuffing News Papers in a small warehouse in Des Plaines. Also Lot's of memories of him at South Park Little Leauge.

John 14: 27-29 - "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. You heard me say to you, " I am going away, and I will come to you." If you loved me, you would have rejoiced, because I am going to the father, and the father is greater than I. And now I have told you before it takes place, so that when it does take place you will believe." I pray for you and your loved ones during your loss.. May God bless you in many ways..
