John Davis Obituary

Davis, John

John Barnner Davis, Educator, Author, Mentor and member of the Miles College football hall of Fame, Omega Psi Phi fraternity and Shiloh Baptist Church died unexpectedly on Friday April 7th. The US Army veteran was also drafted by the Los Angeles Rams and later the Chicago Bears.

He is survived by a son Darryl Davis, (Bellary Darden-Davis), a daughter, Jonneida Davis and three grandchildren, Adore, Hunter and Journey.

Visitation will be held on Friday April 21 from 4-6pm and on April 22, 2023 at 12:30 with Services to follow at 1PM at Calahan Funeral Home 7030 S. Halsted.

My sincerest condolences for the family of John Davis at this time. He was a very active member of the Miles College National Alumni Association (MCNAA) as he worked to provide a newsletter for the organization. He will be missed.
