I may have gone to high school with John. Did he graduate in 1964 from Grayslake Community High School?

Condolences from the Halpin family. Your grandparents, John and Ann, were such close friends of our parents, Jo and Maurice Halpin, that we considered your dad and your Uncle Tom and Aunts Claudette and Helen, our cousins. Your Uncle Tom always said we were "kissin cousins". About a year ago I (Margaret Halpin Jakubicek) had lunch with your father and I wanted to tell you how proudly he spoke of you. He said "I really lucked out with my kids.. They are great." Our family has many happy and funny memories of the Colberts. So sorry for your loss. The Halpins.

To the entire Colbert family, my condolences. You lived across the street and were like part of our family, we babysat the older ones (though I am told Jackie liked Bob the best) watched all of you grow up. My brother Pat and Jackie were the sweet little terrors of the block. Susi and Ginny played with the Luxtons and the Sockis and remember the 3 boys that lived 2 doors south of you? Rosann would come running across the street to "Mrs Horan" I do remember a little girl behind her and of course Michael, who was always running with them. Your parents, were wonderful people. I remember your dad at the train station and both of them, trying to keep up with you kids. THEY SUCCEEDED AND I AM SURE JUST AS YOU ARE PROUD OF THEM.. THEY ARE EQUALLY PROUD OF ALL OF YOU! GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES. You have your parents looking down at you from Heaven, SMILING!
