I still miss my old buddy John Boynton. I regularly think back about the many lunches and dinners when we would meet and talk everything.

I still think about John quite often! He taught me so much about the history of Chicago and the Northside suburban towns! We frequently had lunch at some of the great restaurants. Such a great friend!

I had the pleasure of working with John at Berry Bearing (Skokie) beginning in the fall of 1986, it was clear that John enjoyed his interaction with others and that others genuinely enjoyed working with him. I have many fond memories of visiting customers with John and of some lively conversations. You could tell that he enjoyed each and every day; this is one of the things I always admired about John. He often spoke about his son and daughter, you can tell that he was very proud.

I first met John Boynton in 1966 at our place of employment (Link Belt Company) on Pershing Road in Chicago. We immediately became friends, and have stayed in close touch since that time.

John introduced me to many people and things. I learned a lot from him about Chicago, music, Evanston and many, many other things. However, the most important thing that I learned from John was how to enjoy life by having fun with every experience.

John was so kind and friendly to people, no matter what their race, religion or social standing. He was proud of his family and talked about them a lot. I felt as if I knew all of them very well, even those I never met.

The world is a much better place as a result of John's time on earth. He will be missed very much by many people.
