Johanna Kramer Obituary

Kramer, Johanna "Jo" 56, of Cherry Valley, died Monday, April 17, 2006, in her home following a long illness. Born August 10, 1949, in Chicago, the daughter of Joseph and Patricia Browning Rago Sr. Served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam era. She married Kit Kramer, April 17, 1970, in Dillon, S.C. Jo collected dolls and state quarters and she enjoyed crocheting and gardening. Survivors include her husband, Kit of Cherry Valley; her dog, Crickett; sons, Christopher (Annette) Kramer of Germany, Neal and Brent Kramer, both of Iowa; grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Janine, and Philip; mothers, Patricia Rago of Iowa and Lillie Kramer of Rockford; brothers and sisters, John (Marianne) Rago and Joseph Rago Jr., both of Chicago, Carl (Tanya) Panveno of Iowa, Sharon Lester of Rockford, Nancy (George) Lagoyda of California, Bruce (Barb) Kramer of Rockford, and Scott (Vickie) Kramer of Cherry Valley; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Predeceased by her father and step-mother and infant brother, Peter Panveno. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2006, in Olson Funeral & Cremation Services Ltd., Fred C. Olson Chapel, 1001 Second Ave., with The Rev. Dr. William Richard Kerr Sr. officiating. Burial at 1 p.m., Friday, in Mount Auburn Memorial Park, Stickney, IL. Visitation from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Thursday, in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorials to National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 910 W. Van Buren, Fourth Floor, Chicago, IL, 60607.
