Joan lived about me on Ripple Ridge. She was the best neighbor! Quiet and kind! I heard yesterday of her passing and I am deeply saddened. My prayers go out to her family.

I miss my friend so much. We talked about anything and everything. We went to plays and concerts and just hung out. She was so easy to travel with, to be with. The fun was in the detours. That happy place is hard to find these days.

Joan was such a warm and engaging person - always. I remember her wonderful sense of humor, her dedication to both her family and her career, her travels, and the thoughtfulness she always demonstrated in her life. Cancer is a horrible illness and it has taken some of the most wonderful people I've ever known away from me. My heart breaks for the suffering Joan had to endure, but I take great comfort in knowing she is with God, and with family and friends who have gone before her, in heaven.

All of you are in my thoughts and prayers. We will most certainly celebrate her life in Cape May this summer -

I had the opportunity to work with Joan at Price Waterhouse a number of years ago. She was just such a wonderful person, and I was surprised and saddened to see that she had passed away. My deepest sympathy to the Little family on the loss of Joan.

Life is but a stopping place,
A pause in what's to be,
A resting place along the road,
to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
Different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place,
Far greater than we know.
For some the journey's quicker,
For some the journey's slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
We'll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.

Joan, Rest in Peace.

I am glad your pain has ended and the struggle you so bravely endured is over. You have your mansion now, walking on streets of gold. I will miss my sister, friend, and damn good listener, so very much. You were always there for me. Joan was a person passionate about relationship and generous with her time & possessions. You only had to be met once for someone to know you were special....you were magnetic. Reading and learning defined you and gave you ease with many people. Growing up I wanted to be just like you, you were a natural at being the big sister and Auntie. My "Bestest" sister.

It was with profound regret I learned of the Death of dear Joan.I knew her for a very brief time but I very much enjoyed our conversations together. I had been looking forward to her proposed visit, with Ann Brown to Ireland in the future. Now, alas, that cannot happen but I know she has gone to a far better place and we WILL meet again to continue the chat's where we left off. Dearest Joan, may your sweet soul Rest in Peace and pray for all you have left behind. Until we meet again, leaba imeasc na naomh go raibh agat. With love, Ann
