Having worked closely with Joan for a number of years at Jackson Park Hospital, we became good friends and have stayed in fairly close touch over the years. We last had lunch together this past January. I will very much miss her as, I'm sure, her family and many others will. Joan was one of the best, a little cantankerous at times, always willing to help and very quick to laugh. Safe journey and God's speed, thanx for being my friend. XOXOXO

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. She will be missed. I last saw her in Vegas, and we had fun recalling When we lived together.

When Joan lived in Burnham she was our "nurse" whenever anything would happen in our family...she lived down the block from us. She was a great friend and she will be missed by many!
