Davern, Joan age 73, from the Oak Lawn area, loving mother of Robert (Karen) Sawyer, Margaret (the late Nigel) Murry, William (Neda) Sawyer, Patrick (Caroline) Sawyer, and Andrea (Heath) Zeller, dearest grandmother of 11, cherished sister of Thomas (Gloria) Davern, Judy (Ben) Lewanski, the late Patrick (the late Patricia) Davern, and the late James (Caroline) Davern, fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services Thursday at 10:00 a.m. from Hann Funeral Home, 8230 S. Harlem Ave., Bridgeview, to Our Lady of Loretto Church, 8825 S. Kostner, mass 11:00 a.m., Interment private. I received notice that this guest book is about to go off-line. My Mother, Patsy Hahn/Pellicane was possibly a friend with Joanie. She wanted me to post this to see if maybe a family member would remember her? Did Joanie have a brother,Tommy? He had the nickname, Chirp when they were younger?

Our deepest and heartfelt sympathy on the death of Joanie. Although we only met her a few times, we are friends of her brother, Tommy, she was so known for her culinary artistry.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. This is definitely a stressful time in all your lives and we will be praying for all of you, we wish we could be with you. Your mom was a wonderful lady and a great Aunt. I am so lucky to be a Davern. God bless you all. Rest in Peace Aunt Joanie. Love to all of you. I am glad I have the memories of Vegas.
