Mellen, loving mother of John (Rosalind) Mellen and Mary Mellen, cherished grandmother of Paula Van Hagey, Rebecca Mellen and Daniel Mellen, dear sister of Taylor (Ruby) Young and Hayden (Emily) Young, preceded in death by her parents, Hattie (nee Weaver) and Taylor Young and sisters, Eloise Hughes, Bonnie Ashmorre, Waldine Young and Helen Miller. Visitation Sunday, 4 to 8 p.m., at Friedrichs Funeral Home, 320 W. Central Rd., at Northwest Hwy., Mt. Prospect. Services Monday, 11 a.m., at the Funeral Home. Interment Memory Gardens.
