Jerry E. Myrick of Woodridge, Illinois passed away with family at his side on June 19 th , 2022, at the age of 73 from cardiovascular disease. Jerry was born in Ridgely, Tennessee to Charles Earl Myrick and Wynetta Stockton on October 23, 1948. Born to a Farmer Jerry developed a strong work ethic early in life, with his dad settling in Missouri and his mother in Chicago he was educated in both rural and city life, giving him a unique perspective that would assist him later in life. A high school football star, with a promising career was cut short with a knee injury and Jerry made his way to city life for work eventually settling in transportation with a career start with Liberty Trucking in Chicago, Illinois. This led him to meeting the love of his life Alice Pinkerton, marrying in November of 1977 he became a devoted husband and father to her five children. With a ready-made family Jerry and Alice started their own trucking company AFM in the 80's that was successful and amply supported their very large and boisterous brood. With a great work ethic and reputation, Jerry eventually landed at Robinette Demolition Inc, in Oakbrook Terrace, Illinois where he blossomed as their General Manager and found his calling as a Director of Safety and Employee Health; developing standards and practices that have become a guideline for the industry today. Consulting in the Demolition trade for several years, Jerry was one of the first inductees to the National Demolition Associations Hall of Fame in 2019. A culmination of a very rewarding career that spanned 40 years, and only second to his love of golf that consumed his off time for many years trying to pursue the ultimate hole in one with questionable score cards as many will attest to. Jerry was proceeded in death by his parents, beloved nephew Charles McConnell, cherished son in law Kevin Micheal Epert, granddaughter Amanda Allyse Stocchero and son Kenneth Paul Adams. He is survived by devoted wife Alice F. Myrick, whom he worried about and cared for up until his final days, daughters Sandra Stocchero, Jennifer Epert and significant other Mike Barnes, Bonnie and spouse Boris Stipetic, and son Scott Adams; nine adoring grandchildren, Scott Alexander, Samantha Anne, Tiffany Lynn, Sarah Elizabeth, Luke Thomas, Alex Gregory, Eric Thomas, Cassandra Mae, and Emily Katarina.
