To The Family of Jerome Stone: let me extend my sincerest expression of sympathy to Marion and the family on his passing. He was such a rare individual who extended himself to so many and provided a beacon of light for persons of all ages to follow in order to achieve and experience success in their endeavors. I will never forget his generosity to my staff, students, and families at Byrd Academy and Jenner Academy and to the support of programs benefiting them. He will be long remembered and praised as a leader and gentle person--Shalom.
Sincerely,
Joseph F. Gartner

Dear Jim, Ellen and Cynthia, we all are saddened by the loss of your wonderful father. He was always so generous in spirit and will be remembered very fondly. Your loss is shared by all of us in the family and also by the entire world who never would have known the word, "alzheimer's" if it weren't for him. Our hearts go out to you and your families. We are all grateful for his longevity that allowed us so many years of knowing such a wonderful person.
With love,
Barbara (Hefter) and Harvey Olsher and family

This wonderful man was the modern father of North Shore Congregation Israel and we owe the modern temple of 1185 Sheridan Road, Glencoe, to Jerry's foresight and wisdom. May his memory be a blessing to all who had the honor to know him. Ira Plonsker

Dear Jim, Ellen & Cynthia.....I am DEEPLY saddened by the passing of your father of 76 years out of a century of life. I have seen his strength in all of you at an earlier age, mixed in with the warm, alluring kindness of your mother, Evelyn. Not soon forgotten. My feelings stem from how deeply he felt the loss of the love of his life, as my own father felt a few years ago. They both were one of a kind. I am grateful to have known your parents as mile markers in my early life, as I endeavor to reach his length of days with a glass half filled with memories, relationships, and deeds.
May his memory serve as a loving benediction for all who mourn his loss.

Jerry Stone, one of my most favorite people. He had a unique sense of humor. We had such fun playing golf with him; he didn't want to play unless he could bet, and if we lost, he would not take the money. A close friend of my parents. So modest and very kind. A very special person whom I shall never forget.
With great respect and love,
Sally Korff Bergstedt, Evergreen, Colorado

He was such a good man, such a mensch! I loved seeing how much love and caring he showed to my Aunt Marion. With all his charitable work he certainly left the world a better place. What I'll miss most is his kindness and wisdom. Love, Rachel Berg
