Smith Ph.D., Jerome of Indianapolis and formerly of Chicago, beloved husband of DeLiesseline Twitty Smith and the late Inez Smith, loving father of Sandra (Eric) Applebaum, Bob (Kristy) Smith, and Debra (Chris) Hornbecker, and stepfather of Joe (Lucille) Hughes and Jeff Hughes, cherished grandfather of Kayla, Ariella, Eliana, Noa, Emily, Conner, Cameron, and Elias, dear brother of Toby Nitz, Milton (Judie) Smith, and Susan (Ron) Halick, treasured uncle, cousin, and friend of many. Dr. Smith was a talented and dedicated professor emeritus, practitioner, supervisor and a published author. He was a Social Worker, Adoption Specialist and researched Human Behavior. His greatest passion in life was his family. Chapel Service Sunday, 1:00 p.m. at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment Shalom Memorial Park.
