Dear Cate and family,
My husband and I met Jeff when he installed leather on an antique secretary at our home. I was so surprised to find that we shared a common history, that being Cuttyhunk Island, Mass. We both spent time there in our young lives and who whould imagine that we would find this commonality in Illinois. I so enjoyed meeting Jeff and and so sorry for the void in your life. Most Sincerely, Marcia and Steve Guerrant

So long gentle rebel.
Jeff's kindness, compassion and good humor will be sorely missed. Jeff always questioned the things most of us accepted at face value. I'll miss his compeling conversation and irreverent view of society. The Saturday supper club wont be the same without him, but his love and spirit will always be there. Those who knew him are better people for it.

I will always remember Jeff as a man who cared deeply about others, respected their beliefs, enjoyed his friends (and a good laugh) and loved his wife. He was a good man and we will miss him and his humor.

A gentle man who loved kids and dogs, was really fuuny, and very gracious. A great 'lefty' who really understood the importance of being aware, and had a great capcity to share his thoughts.
Very respectful of others, and very patient on the golf course.
This is very sad.

Jeff always made me welcome and was always interested in what I had to say. I will miss him.

My warm condolences. I remember Jeff as a warm and alive man. The world is sadder and poorer.
