Balcitis, Jeffrey R. Age 58, a retired Chicago Policeman with over 23 years of service from Midway Airport Unit. Beloved husband of Patricia, CPD (Unit 384) (nee Yanke); loving father of Joshua. A cherished son of the late Raymond, retired Capt. CPD (022) and Dorothy (nee Krug) Balcitis; fond brother of Rae, retired Sgt. CPD (A #1) (Richard, retired CPD [Unit 079]), the late Charles, retired CPD (School Patrol) (Sandra) and Sharon, retired Lt. CPD (A #1); dear uncle of many nieces and nephews; a special brother-in-law and a cherished friend to many. Funeral services will be on Sunday, 7:30 p.m. at the Damar-Kaminski Funeral Home & Crematorium 7861 S. 88th Ave (2 mi. west of 79th & Harlem) Justice, IL. Visitation 2 p.m. until time of service. Mr. Balcitis was a great guy. I can remember growing up with Josh and going swimming all the time in the summer. He used to love joking around with us and playing a bunch of games in the pool. Those are memories I will forever cherish.
