Broutman, Jean (nee Jacobson), beloved wife of the late Emanuel, loving mother of Anne (Lee) Hollek, Karen (Steven) LaMantia and Barry (Janice) Broutman, devoted grandmother of Kathryn and Michael LaMantia, dear sister of Myrna (William) Goldin and Harold Jacobson. Service Sunday, 10 a.m., at The Weinstein Funeral Homes North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment at South Chicago Bikur Cholim, Gate 107, Jewish Waldheim Cemetery, Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association, 2720 River Rd., Des Plaines, IL, 60018. Ann, Karen, and Barry,
My deepest sympathies on your mother's passing. Jean was a special person that I think of often. Although we were not in touch once she left Chicago, her teachings have remained with me all these years. I have never forgotten all the great dinner parties and sincere friendship and sense of "always being there" for all her family and friends even during the trying times.
May God Bless Jean and grant her eternal rest.
