Janice Pearson Obituary

Pearson (nee Ross), Janice Patricia

We celebrate the life of our Queen Mother Janice Patricia Pearson, lovingly known as Mom, Mother Janice, Grandma Jan Jan, Grandma and Auntie Pat.

Born on Saturday, February 10, 1951 Janice Patricia was the sixth child born to the union of Van and Mary Ross. Her parents Van E. and Mary E. and siblings Mary Kathryn, Barbara Ann, Van Edward, William George, Betty Carol and James Patrick preceded her in death.

Janice attended Chicago Vocational High School where the value of learning a trade was instilled. She excelled in sewing and typing laying the foundation for her love of fashion and will to succeed.

After high school she was employed as a secretary at Michael Reese Hospital, worked for the Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) and in 1988 she became a State of Illinois Licensed Insurance Broker working with Prudential Insurance. Never settling for less she attended the Life Underwriters Training Council graduating in 1991. In 1993 she established her own business, The Pryor Agency; a multi-line insurance brokerage agency representing over fifty of the leading insurance companies in the industry.

In 1973 Janice was Baptized in Christ instilling the love of God, self and community in her children. She served on the Prairie State College Board, The University of Illinois Council, South Cook County Girl Scouts Inc., and the Southland Chamber of Commerce.

Janice possessed a fond appreciation for style, fine dining, traveling the world, watching movies in her favorite recliner (never without a quick nap), and playing spades.

On Wednesday, December 23, 2020 Janice Patricia Pearson took her eternal rest in Heaven reuniting with her parents and siblings. Her radiant smile and infectious laugh will be indelibly imprinted in the hearts of each life she touched.

Janice leaves to carry on her legacy, her husband William M. Pearson II, her children Wilbur C. Milhouse III (Dawn), Nicole A. Pearson, William M. Pearson III (Sharina), grandchildren Jacquin, Ryann, Melanie, Wilbur IV, Jai, Nicholas, Adrian Jr., William IV, Winter; two great grandchildren Sophie and Skylar; her cherished fur baby Ginger, Nieces Michelle, Lisa (Jerald), Nephews William, Steve, James, Jonathon, Great nieces Alyssa, Chloe, Akayla, Alaina and Great Nephews William Ryan, Keith, Roman and a host of friends and colleagues.

The Celebration of LIfe will be held on Wednesday, February 10th, 2021.
