James Stengel Obituary

Stengel Sr., James F. 68, longtime resident of Sauk Village, current resident of Dyer, IN. Loving father of David (Kim), Kris (Dan) Meske, Jim and John; Devoted "Papa" of Justin, Beverly, Alyssa and Erik; Lifelong friend and mother of his children, Penny (nee Kenny); Dear brother of Patricia (Lloyd) Earle, Mary (Ed) Rose, Donald and Larry (Kitty) Stengel; Uncle of many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Alice Stengel; his brother, Elmer Jr.; and his sister, Kathleen. Mr. Stengel was a longtime member of Copper Muggers Lansing Chapter. He will be missed by many friends from his 37 years of fishing and hunting trips to southern Illinois. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 1-6pm at American Legion Post 697, 18255 Grant St. Lansing, IL. Service will be at 4pm.
