Let us pray in thanksgiving for the life of our brother, Fr. James Walter Schulz, S.J. who died on October 20, 2025, at Colombiere Center for retired Jesuits in Clarkston Michigan. He was 80 years old. May he rest in Peace. James is predeceased by his parents Henry and Ann Schulz. James is survived by his sister Diane Schulz McCullough. James was born on February 14, 1945, in Cincinnati Ohio. James is a graduate of Hialeah High School, Florida. He entered the Society of Jesus on July 30, 1964, at the Jesuit Novitiate, Milford, Ohio. He was ordained a priest on October 22, 1977, in Cincinnati Ohio, professed final vows on September 30, 1983, in Washington D.C. Wake Service: Colombiere Center on Tuesday, October 28th at 7:00 pm. Jim will lie in state in the Colombiere Chapel from 3:30 pm., until the wake service at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial, Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at 10:30 am Colombiere Center, burial to follow immediately after mass in the Jesuit cemetery.
