Phelan, James P. after a long courageously fought illness, "Ole Boy" passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 13, surrounded by loved ones; cherished husband and best buddy of Denise Donohoe, CPD; beloved son of the late James J. and Mary Phelan; loving brother of Michael J. (Kathy) Phelan of Mansfield TX and Mary Ann Kotas of Leland, NC; proud uncle of Mary Ellen, Cary, Dawn, James, Kevin, Katie, Megan and special special special grand-uncle to Madison, Cody, Jonah, Brittany, Robert and Billy; dear nephew of Harry Phelan of Summit, IL.; brother-in-law to Terrance, Michael, Colletta CPD and Maureen CCSP Donohoe; treasured friend to John and Barbara Burzinski, as well as many others; Retired Captain, CPD, with 41 years of dedicated service. Veteran of USMC. Visitation Wednesday, 5 to 9:30 p.m. at Old St. Patrick's Church, 700 W. Adams. Mass of Christian Burial 7:30 p.m. Interment private.
