James Nolan Obituary
James C. Nolan of Chicago, IL, formerly of Dublin, Ireland passed away peacefully on September 8, 2022. Beloved Husband of the late Ethna (Curtis). Loving Father of James P., Martha M., and Patrick S. (Maureen). Grandad to Megan, Cailey, Andrew and Catherine. Cherished Son of the late James and Christina (née Tuite). Loving Brother to Kathleen (late John), Maureen (late Sean), late Dinah (late Ben), late Ned, late Rose (late Robbie), late Tommy, late Betty (late Paddy), late Bunny (Michael), Martin (Annette.) Dear Brother-in-law and Uncle to many, many nieces and nephews and a friend to all. Employee of the City of Chicago for 38 years. We will miss his Irish wit, laughter and love he bestowed onto us. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 24, from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. at St. Gertrude Catholic Church, located at 1420 W Granville, Chicago, IL 60660. Arrangements entrusted to Cooney Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials to be made to American Alzheimer's/Dementia Association www.alz.org. Jimmy, Martha, Patrick and all the Nolan family; the Tentler family sends their deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. Always funny and quick with a good natured ribbing it was an honor knowing James. God only knows how many got on the city dole due Mr. Nolan. R.I.P

Jimmy Nolan and I were friends and we were active in Democratic politics for many years in Cook County. He was very helpful to me and I was never able to adequately thank him for all he did. He loved his family, his neighbors and his friends and we loved him back. Don´t rest too much because we need your "plus, minus, zero precinct sheets."
