McCarthy, James E. "Eddie" Veteran of WWII, dearly beloved husband of Anne (nee Scalafini) for 58 years, loving father of Edward, Daniel (Sharon) and Darlene (Sam) Silvestri, cherished grandfather of Michael, Nicholas and Deanna Silvestri, dear brother of the late Warren and Joseph McCarthy and the late Margaret McGuire, fond uncle of Patsy (Lupe) Aseves, Dennis and the late Andrew McGuire, Joseph, Julia and Michael McCarthy, great-uncle of many nieces and nephews. Chapel service Saturday, 11:30 a.m. at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. 708-456-8300 or www.cumberlandchapels.com
