Dear Aileen,
Bob and I would like to express our sympathies. You both were wonderful neighbors to our family in Oak Lawn. Thank you for 7 wonderful years. We will always remember the holiday weekends in the summer months when Jim would play his Frank Sinatra music for all to hear. I enjoyed it so much that I went and bought a CD. We will continue to play it and think of those many good times and good friends in Oak Lawn. You and your family are in our prayers!!

Aileen and Family,
I was very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. The Jordan Family has many fond memories of Jim Lundy going all the way back to the good old days of Pure Food and Gresham Food. No one ran grocery stores in their day like Jim Lundy and Bill Jordan. What astute business people they were. As Jim would always profess, "success does not come without hard work and a little fun along the way."
Even though my dad's journey took him to IFRA and Jim's to Rainbow, Plants a Plenty and Aileens- their frienship and respect for one another continued. You and Jim were so very kind to my mother in the days , months, and years following my dad's death. You never forgot.Your frienship and love will be remembered always. Maureen- your dad's coming home! God bless Jim Lundy and the Lundy Family.

Dear Aileen and Family,
My deepest sympathies to you and yours. I will always remember the fine boss that I had at Gresham Food and Liquors. Jim was great. Yes, hard work, but still always time for a smile. The crew there was fine. Thank you.
Sincerely,

Dear Eileen
My condolences to you and yours. I'm sure that Steve was waiting to greet Jimmy and they will be just fine, the both of them. May God bless you and yours. I send "special" prayers and am sure the cherished memories of your "brother" will sustain not only you, but those who have now tucked him in their hearts forever.
many hugs and much love, me

It's hard for me to put into words how much my Uncle Jim meant to me. As a child I spend alot of time at Uncle Jim's house. Overnights were very special filled with food, fun and lots of my antics (I was the wild one- to say the least). My favorite memory is waking up in the morning and all of us girls climbing into my aunt and uncles' bed to wake Uncle Jim to laugh and rub backs. Of course Aunt Aileen was up in the kitchen already cleaning and getting breakfast ready. He was loved by us all and will be missed.

How can words describe a journey through life with Jim Lundy - I first met Jim fresh out of the seminary and started a lifelong association with "Bossman" Jim and Kevin/Bobby/Danny bagging potatoes and receiving .90 an hour. What fond memories my sister Terry and I had of Gresham Food and Liquors. What a marvelous MENTOR Jim was and is even to this day as he sleeps with the Angels. Our mother, Annamae, had a special fondness for Jim and all he meant to our Miller family. I will never forget the night of our mother's funeral when Jim was the steadying hand for us Miller boys - Gene, Don, and Jerry - as we laughed and talked about all the interminglings of our lives over the years until the wee hours of the morning prior to the actual funeral - and there was Jim, the mentor, deciding who was driving and the smiles he put on our faces at that moment in time. Over the ensuing years, I had the privilege of talking to Jim on many an occasion and he was always the same - mentor and friend, with a zest for life and the next venture of business. As an old Marine would always say: "Fair Winds and Following Seas" my good friend. Sleep peacefully now that your initial watch has ended. My sincere condolences to Eileen and Burnie and all Jim's family - Gene

To Aileen, Sharon, and Family,
I am very sorry to hear of your loss. Jim was a good man. Even though we move away and move on in our lives, we never forget those who came across our path and helped us out. Jim helped me out when I worked for him at the travel agency. You have my deepest sympathies.
