Kilcran III, James T. beloved husband of Virginia (nee Helderman), loving father of Lisa (Michael) White, James T. (Jackie) Kilcran IV, and John H. Kilcran, cherished grandfather of Sophia Kilcran and James T. Kilcran V, dear brother of Lawrence P. (Eleanor) Kilcran, Michael D. (Lee) Kilcran, and the late Barbara Toral, fond uncle of many Nieces and Nephews. Funeral Thursday, 8:45 a.m. from Thompson & Kuenster Funeral Home, 5570 W. 95th St., Oak Lawn to St. Gerald Church for Mass at 9:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Renowned Musician, Composer and Orchestrator. Principal Percussionist with Lyric Opera from 1954 until 1996. Former Staff Musician at WGN. 708-425-0500

My 90 year old dad (Bill McCann) had me look up Jimmy Kilcran on the iPad. He has a fond memory of seeing at Chicago Theater. My dad lived in South Shore. Jimmy was young and playing up there with the best. I think the best memory he told me was while my dad was on the street car, it stopped for Jimmy to get on and
Jimmy & his father loaded up his drums on the street car. My dad thought what a nice dad.

One of my most fond memories as a kid was to sit in their living room and listen to Jim at his drums accompany a record of the William Tell Overature. It was Fantastic..................Eternal Peace Jim and Thanks...Bob Greitzer

Uncle Jimmy we had so many laughs over the past with my mom while I was growing up. You will always have a special place in my heart no one else can fill. The Irish humor, wit and wisdom was always with both of you. Barbie was always so proud of your accomplishes throughout your life. Let the music play on in heaven...
